Hello, I’m Daisy!    God gave me a gift of being able to help dogs.  I have always loved animals especially dogs. I have been training dogs since 1993. My very first dog was Rover, a shepherd mix, and as a small child I remember being dragged around the yard by him and him running away.  Not a very obedient dog.  After he passed away my parents didn’t let me have a dog for a very long time.  Before we moved to Georgia my parents said I could get another dog.  I found a black lab-great dane mix puppy at the Northshore Animal League on Long Island, NY and named him Slash.  Once we moved to Tyrone, GA I took an obedience class with him and he received first place in the class.  When I moved out on my own I bought an Old English Mastiff, named Junior.  I already knew how to train him but I felt he needed to be socialized with other dogs so I signed up for a class at PetSmart.  Before the class was over our instructor quit and I applied for the job and became one of their trainers and stayed for almost three years. I also have Junior’s daughter, Princess and a cat that Junior adopted named Chavez.  Yes, it’s Junior’s kitty!  When I left PetSmart I decided to have my own business Daisy’s Canine Academy . I’m very honest with people.  I don’t profess to know everything and that’s why I’m always reading, searching the internet, attending seminars and talking to other trainers and instructors in order to help you help your dogs.
